So welcome to the newest addition to La Distesa. NovantaNove, like a wine Corrado Dettori made about fifteen years ago but then stopped making. Inspired by Mediterranean oxidatives, a 2015-based perpetual, not overly meditative, but instead designed to accompany aperitifs and tapas, raw fish, and seafood pasta dishes. Cheers.

The Ventisei is vinified in purity with Pinot Nero grapes in purity. “Erbatino” by Gueli It owes its name to the chalky soils rich in minerals, which in the local dialect are called “Erbatino”. Produced with Nero d'Avola grapes, it is vinified in concrete tanks, and refines for at least two years in oak barrels. It offers balsamic aromas to the nose from which various notes of aromatic herbs emerge, while in the background a light fruity nuance makes room. Gueli's "Calcareus" is a full-bodied red wine made from Nero d'Avola grapes. Sacrisassi Bianco is a soft and fragrant wine, intense and powerful, obtained from a blend of Tocai Friulano and Ribolla Gialla. It ages for 22 months in barriqeus and tonneaux. Deep yellow with slightly golden reflections. Almond and hazelnut, ripe white fruit, intense and persistent floral aromas draw an olfactory picture of great grip, engaging and suggestive. Even on the palate the taste is full, decided without being excessive in its generous exuberance. Dry and dry as fat and opulent. Savagnin "En Chalasse" by Labet is a white wine obtained from the indigenous Savagnin jaune and vert vines, which come from vines planted in 1989 and 2003 which are located on the blue marls of the Lias. Patchwork is a blend of Chardonnay from numerous small parcels, harvested by hand. The process takes place with whole bunches, followed by partial fermentation in steel and wood for about 9 months, with subsequent maturation in small woods. Malolactic, carried out to soften the powerful acidity, helps create a complex profile. It is an unfiltered and unclarified wine, which presents notes of citrus such as grapefruit on the attack, followed by hints of pastry and buttery due to aging in wood, giving a denser texture. The balance between the freshness of the citrus and the richness of the pastry makes it versatile: excellent both as an aperitif, even with oysters, and paired with white meats such as chicken.

"Le Pinot" François Dumas is a fruity and vibrant red wine based on Pinot Noir. It is not common to find Pinot Noir vineyards in these latitudes but Francois tried to plant a small vineyard and we must say that the result was amazing. Fermentation with maceration on the skins for 4 weeks in open vats, then soft pressing by hand with the old Francois vertical press. Aging for 24 months in old barriques before bottling.

Frederic Cossard's Bedeau is a wine that comes from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from different selected plots where agriculture respects the principles of the company philosophy. The harvest is manual, with meticulous selection of the grapes. The traditional fermentation takes place in wooden vats for 5-6 weeks including the malolactic fermentation, with a subsequent rest on the lees. After maceration, the wine ages in barrique for a maximum of 3 years. The wine is on notes of red fruit with hints of raspberry and strawberry and hints of undergrowth.
