Producer Sylvain Pataille

The Domaine Sylvain Pataille is located in Marsannay in the heart of Burgundy. It was born in 1999 when Sylvain, after gaining experience in various wineries in the area, decided to untie himself from the preconceptions of standardized wine by using chemical products during cultivation and vinification, to produce biodynamic wines, in which the standardization of wines is completely removed in favor of a product able to best express the power of the terroir that produces it through cultivation techniques of biodynamic, natural and biological grapes. Today Sylvain cultivates 12.5 hectares of vineyards planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris for a total of about 55,000 bottles a year. Demanding, he works his vines on horseback, intervenes as little as possible, and only only small amounts of sulfur. Sylvain has succeeded in enhancing a splendid terroir in wines such as Bourgogne Aligotè, Marsannay Blanc, Marsannay Clos du Roy, Bourgogne Aligotè Clos Du Roy, Bourgogne Aligotè Champ Forey, Bourgogne Le Chapitre, Marsannay Chardonnay Rosè, Marsannay The Longeroies and the Bourgogne Aligotè Les Auvonnes Au Pepe.
