Today in the Czech Republic, thanks to the ideal climatic conditions, the long tradition of winemaking, viticulture in the Czech Republic has deep roots two thousand years, and above all to the support of investors who have brought modern technologies, we are witnessing a renaissance of Czech wine. There are 2 winegrowing regions in the Czech Republic: Bohemia with an area of ​​444 ha. and 6 crus; but above all Moravia where it finds almost all the vineyards of the whole Czech Republic, with its 11.300 ha. and ten wine-growing areas, representing 95% of the vineyards. The wines with white grapes obtained from Chardonnay, Riesling, Mueller Thurgau, Moravian Muscat, and the king of the Moravian white wines, Valteline Vert, are especially appreciated. Red wines, generally less excellent than whites, are obtained from Frankovka grapes, and Pinot Noir, here called, Rulandské modré, Zweigelt, André and Oporto. Also interesting are the sparkling wines made from different grapes and the sweet Pálava wine. Helena is a sparkling wine refermented in the bottle obtained from a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Sankt Laurent grapes. It is produced by Dlúhé Grefty, a Czech company led by Jaroslav Tesařík who together with his family grow about 1.5 hectares of vineyards in Mutěnice and produce around 5,000 bottles of wine every year. Helena is a real bomb, fresh and fragrant, it is advisable to be careful when it is opened. An excellent wine for the whole meal, to drink at least 10 glasses, no 100..but maybe even 1000!

A wine that comes from the heart of Hungary, obtained from the homonymous white grape variety originating from Hungary. Vines that grow on a wonderful volcanic soil capable of imparting minerality to wines. Harvest that begins at the beginning of September and takes place in several stages to reach perfect ripeness. After a slow and soft whole cluster pressing, the grapes are transferred to clay amphorae where they ferment and mature for 9 months. István Bencze's Aries Riesling is a fascinating wine with extreme tension and depth. To produce it, the oldest vines that reach 45 years of age are used.
