Nero d'Avola Criante is a wine that expresses itself with its typical fruity notes embellished with light and pleasant Mediterranean references. Criante is a new project in the world of authentic terroir wines, an ongoing project with a beating heart and a magical land behind it. The grapes, certified organic, come from vineyards located on clayey soils and are caressed by the sea breeze. In the cellar, all fermentations are spontaneous with maceration on the skins for 9 days, and aging for 8 months on the fine lees in steel. A wine that is an expression of a grape variety and its territory, perfect for accompanying all the most informal occasions.

We recommend serving it at a temperature of 16/18° in large glasses.

Winery: Criante - Azienda Agricola Bioviola

Criante is a family-run business located in Alcamo, in western Sicily. It is not only a winery led by Irene and Davide, but we also find the uncles Nino and Davide who work in the countryside and his brother Enrico who, together with his cousin Anna, manage the shop of organic products. The company covers 25 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, vegetable gardens and various arable land of ancient Sicilian grains. The vineyards, certified organic, of Catarratto, Grillo and Perricone are located on clayey soils and are caressed by the sea breeze. In the cellar, all fermentations are spontaneous and the wine does not undergo any alteration. Wines that are the expression of a vine and its territory, so much so that the Contrada of origin of the wine is always shown on the label.
