Palmento Rosso by Anna Martens is a wine made from local red grapes in purity, whose grapes come from old planted vine trees. Winemaking takes place whole grapes, and spontaneously fermented in a wooden barrel of 15hl for 6 weeks without replenishment. Continue refining for 9 months in the same barrel. The Vino di Anna is ruby ​​red with complex nose and faceted with notes of red fruits and spices. In the mouth it is warm, fresh with an austere and defined tannic structure. 

Service

We recommend tasting it at a 16/18 ° temperature in tulip goblets. Daily wine but left a few years in the cellar can give you great emotions.

Anna Martens is a young Australian oenologist who after graduating in oenology decides to shoot the world until he comes to Italy and finds work first at the Ornellaia Estate and then from Passopisciaro, a company located on Etna. And during this time he falls in love with this area and decides to settle permanently in Sicily with her husband Eric Narioo, founder of Les Caves de Pyrene. Anna begins her experiments, made of spontaneous fermentations, long macerations and refinements in amphora, until she can get her natural wine she wanted and wanted. Its vineyards are all planted with sapling, they are small plots located in the vicinity of Solicchiata, on the steep slopes of Mount Etna. Anna cultivates only native Sicilian vines; Nerelo Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carrier and Alicante. Today Anna's work is recognized everywhere so many young people arrive at his cellar to learn working methods.
