Collepazzo - Cantine Riccardo Reale
Collepazzo is the name of the hill from which the grapes are harvested. 100% Cesanese di Affile, grapes resulting from the blend of different volcanic and sandstone soils. Spontaneous fermentation without chemical additions and then 10 months of aging in concrete and 6 months in bottle. Even if balanced, the name would not suggest it, and yet in a rather harmonious way; the result is an artistic and multifaceted wine, in the sense that what might appear low in alcohol and poorly structured, actually has intense fruit and high drinkability but with structure and alcohol present, but absolutely not perceptible. Note of red fruit, wet earth and wild sensations are the masters.

Cellar: Cantine Riccardo Reale
Cantine Riccardi Reale is a young company located between the two neighboring municipalities of Bellegra and Olevano Romano, very close to Rome. Born from the passion and love for the land of Lorella Reale and Piero Riccardi, he is a journalist, producer and director, she has a degree in philosophy with a specialization in bioethics. In 2010, they realized the desire to preserve in Bellegra, Piero's land of origin, the desire to safeguard and carry on the history of one of the typical vines of the area, Cesanese, one of the most important and indigenous red wines of Lazio. The vineyard is worked in a biodynamic way, in continuous evolution with studies and comparisons with other winemakers, so that chemistry is never used, and rather aiming at an increase in soil fertility in the belief that only in this way can we obtain good grapes. healthy and intact, from which to produce excellent wines, not only terroir wines but also enjoyable, digestible and obviously good. In Olevano Romano, exactly in the Colle Pazzo area, at 300 meters above sea level, there are two Guyot vineyards of the variety called Cesanese di Affile or Cesanese piccolo. Within each single vineyard there are two types of soil, one of a volcanic nature of a reddish color, while the other, on the other hand, consists of white sandstone lands that emerged in the Cretaceous period. The grapes are harvested separately by area and at the end of each refinement we obtain three different types of Cesanese, two are the result of the distinction of the grapes produced in the respective different types of soil and one that represents on the contrary the fruit of the union of the grapes produced on two types of terrain. In the cellar the respect brought to the vineyard and to the soil is maintained, the product is handled as little as possible by proceeding with a simple but effective reasoning: good healthy grapes create good wines. Spontaneous fermentation and maceration in concrete or steel tanks, while the aging takes place in oak and chestnut wood (wood of which Olevano was famous in the past for the production of aging barrels) without adding substances.in.
