Cellar: Natalino Del Prete
Natalino Del Prete is a true farmer, he cultivates his vineyards in Salento, where his family has been doing this job for 3 generations. A quiet man with bright blue eyes, Natalino mainly together with his daughter Mina have been growing organically since 2004 but safeguarding the soil, the environment and the consumer have always been part of their ideology. The total extension is about 11 hectares, 7 of which are planted with vines and 4 with olive trees, the varieties are those typical of the Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Primitivo and Aleatico areas; the latter grape is typical of this area and made even more intriguing by the legend that hovers around the Aleatico: the land where the vineyard stands is called "Terra dei Messapi" and likes to think that this particular sweet wine was used by Ulysses to grace the cyclops Polyphemus, as it was imported by the Greeks when Puglia was the territory of Magna Grecia. Honest wines that leave their mark, always giving sun and ripe fruit to the glass.
