The winery of Natalino Del Prete is located in Guagnano, in the province of Lecce, in that wonderful area called Salento. Natalino is the third generation of a family of winemakers, and as a young man, after leaving his university studies in Biology, he dedicates himself with passion and enthusiasm to the cultivation of those vineyards once belonging to his grandfather. Today Natalino, with the help of his family, grows about eleven hectares, of which seven are vineyards and four are planted with olive trees. The vines are grown with the utmost respect for the environment and nature, and there is the complete absence of herbicides and pesticides. The cultivated varieties are those native to Salento; the Negroamaro, the black Malvasia, the Primitivo, and the Aleatico. In the winery Natalino respects the ancient local traditions, with spontaneous fermentation by the only indigenous yeasts, refinements in steel, and no filtration before bottling, so as to enhance every slight shade of the terroir and the vintage. Several wines produced; from the Torre Nova to the Negroamaro Pioneer, to the Nataly produced with Primitivo grapes, through the Malvasia Nera based on the homonymous vine, and finally the Sorso Antico, a splendid sweet wine made from Aleatico. The wines of Natalino Del Prete are true and authentic, honest and honest, which offer an excellent pleasantness and drinkability.
