Les 1er Ponts – Domaine Recrue des Sens

Les 1er Ponts by Recrue Des Sens is a fine and elegant red wine made from pure Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes come from an old vineyard located on the mountain of the abbey of Saint-Vivant de Vergy close to those of the Domaine de la Romanee Conti. No chemicals in the vineyard, no pesticides, no sulfur, nothing at all, only terroir and so much effort for unique wines and long aging. The grapes were harvested by hand. Fermentation was carried out in whole bunches with only natural yeasts and maceration for about 30 days. The wine is then aged in barriques for a couple of years. Les 1er Ponts on the nose expresses beautiful aromas of red berries, blueberries and currants in particular. In the mouth it is ample, firm, covered with a soft and enveloping tannic texture. The finish is long and pleasantly fresh. We are facing a wine that will be splendid in the futures.

Service

We taste it at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but magnificently holds the time.

Pairings

It goes well with fresh cheeses, cured meats and appetizers and noble poultry.

Yann Durieux is a young winemaker who is surely leaving his mark in Burgundy! His domaine is called Recrue des Sens, which he founded in 2010 with the purchase of a vineyard of only 2.5 in hautes-côtes-de-nuits, in the Côte d’Or. After graduating in oenology he worked for the most important producers of natural wines of the Borgogn, from Julien Guillot of the domaine du Vigne de Maines, to Domaine Prieure Roch where he learned to know and make wine the three noble varieties of the Borgogna: pinot noir , chardonnay and aligotè. Today the domaine includes 9 hectares, some of which are owned, others for rent, all of which are processed according to the dictates of natural viticulture and with medium-low yields. All the wines of Recrue des Sens are characterized by purity of style, delicacy and their elegance. Among them the "Love and Pif" stands out, one of the most interesting Aligotes produced in Borgogna!
