"Le Tourbillon de la Vie" Rouge - Domaine Jean-Philippe Padié

Tourbillon de la Vie, which means "carousel of life", is a red wine made from pure Grenache grapes that come from various plots located in the Agly valley. The harvest is manual. In the cellar a part of grapes is de-stemmed while the remaining is left in whole bunches. Spontaneous fermentation with only indigenous yeasts. The company of Jean-Philippe Padié is located in Calce, in the Agly valley, a few kilometers from Perpignan, in the Languedoc - Roussillon region. In his work he is helped by Kikito and Lorelei who take care of the vineyards of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Maccabeu, White Grenache and Gray Grenache. In the vineyard it follows the lunar cycle and some energizing preparations in order to create a natural balance in its terroir. In the cellar, it does not force things, it does not add anything, it performs delicate blows, spontaneous fermentations, no correction of the oenological parameters, homeopathic use of the sulphites.
