The Vin de France Rouge "Pacha" by Domaine Padiè is a thick red wine obtained from 100% Carignan grapes. The grapes are the selection of old centenary plots located mainly on calcareous soils. The name is a tribute to Georges Lautner's film.

Service

We taste the "Le Tourbillon de la Vie" Rouge at a temperature around 16/18 ° C in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left to rest in the cellar for a few years can give great sensations.

The company of Jean-Philippe Padié is located in Calce, in the Agly valley, a few kilometers from Perpignan, in the Languedoc - Roussillon region. This area is excellent for the cultivation of the vine, where the marine influence and the energy of the winds temper the Mediterranean heat. Jean-Philippe before starting to make his own wine, he worked at Mas Amiel and Gauby's. Jean-Philippe is a true "gardener" who speaks with passion of his land, the age of his vines and his terroir in general. Today it has 15 hectares of vineyards scattered in about thirty plots. In his work he is helped by Kikito and Lorelei who take care of the vineyards of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Maccabeu, White Grenache and Gray Grenache. In the vineyard it follows the lunar cycle and some energizing preparations in order to create a natural balance in its terroir. In the cellar, it does not force things, it does not add anything, it performs delicate blows, spontaneous fermentations, no correction of the oenological parameters, homeopathic use of the sulphites. For containers use cement tanks or medium-small barrels used. From this approach born wines at the same time gluttonous and exceptionally precise.
