The name "52 Fuochi" (52 Hearths) alludes to the ancient *Descriptio Romandiole* census of 1371, which recorded the 52 families belonging to the parish of San Nicola di Baccagnano. The grapes come from six 1966 Veronese pergola parcels that are gathered in a single body on the side of a hill just above the town of Bardolino.
