Prêt à boire rouge - Cave Monaja
Cave Monaja's Prêt à boire is a delicate, enveloping red wine with references to small red fruits, while on the palate it appears fresh, with the right and balanced alcohol content. Product obtained from a blend of red grape varieties. The grapes come from vineyards with an average age of 40/50 years located on predominantly morainic, loose, sandy soils with slopes of up to 40%. Manually harvested in boxes in October, and in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and subsequently left to ferment with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Its refinement process has been completed in contact with the fine lees in a Nombloy (ovoid-shaped cement wine vessel) for approximately 100 days where this primordial form allows the correct evolution of the product in a more than natural way. If you have the opportunity to try it, it could prove to be a pleasant discovery!
Service
We taste it at a temperature of 16/18° in tulip glasses. Wine to drink immediately but does not disdain to be aged.
Pairings
Excellent with all meals, it goes well with numerous gastronomic combinations. To stay in the region combine it with the sumptuous Blue d'Aoste, a blue-veined cheese or with Chnéfflene, small pieces of batter cooked in boiling water and seasoned with fondue, cream and speck.
