Onbrìa di Calalta is a Cabernet Franc from vigorous vineyards located on the top of the hills of Mussolente.Don't expect the typical herbaceous notes of the grape: on the contrary, it opens into a fresh and juicy fruit.

Service

We recommend to taste it at a temperature of 16/18° in tulip glasses. Great wine that you can appreciate right away or leave it in the cellar for a few years.

Pairing

Recommended with savory first courses, meat main courses, to be tried with a plate of aged cheeses.

Winery: Calalta

Calalta is a small family-run business located in Mussolente at the foot of Monte Grappa, in the province of Vicenza. The company is immersed in a large park of 16 hectares, surrounded by woods, olive trees, fruit trees and a small pond, which create a real natural oasis with a particularly favorable microclimate. Today at the head of Calalta we find Nicola Brunetti who together with his family takes care of the environment in which he lives to grow with it with humility and patience, and the incessant desire to experiment and improve, allows Nicola to create authentic wines that they want to be part of a memory. The grape varieties present in Calalta are the international Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, but also Vespaiola, Bronner, Incrocio Manzoni and above all Riesling Renano which was planted by Nicola's grandfather. 15,000 bottles produced including the Davvero, a white macerated based on Rhenish Riesling.
