Service
We recommend tasting it at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.
Pairings
Excellent with first courses, red meats, grilled meats, medium-aged cheeses, excellent with stewed lamb.
Winery: Cascina Iuli
Cantina Iuli is located in Val Cerrina, in the province of Alessandria, in the Basso Monferrato. Managed by Fabrizio Iuli with his old friends, his sister Cristina, Dan and Gad Lerner, has tried over the years to produce wines that are the most authentic expression of the territory. A project that starts from a distance to recover old vines, not in a single vineyard but scattered in various micro-zones in the southernmost part of the Basso Monferrato. We find the vineyards in the municipalities of Cerrina Monferrato, Odalengo Grande, Castelletto Merli and Ponzano, all resting on clayey-calcareous soils, and able to give an absolutely territorial wine. Fabrizio uses traditional methods of pruning and vinification, with low yields per stock, indigenous yeasts and barriques. The vines grown are: Barbera, Nebbiolo and finally Pinot Noir.
