Winery: Cantina Iuli
Cantina Iuli is located in Val Cerrina, in the province of Alessandria, in the Basso Monferrato. Managed by Fabrizio Iuli with his old friends, his sister Cristina, Dan and Gad Lerner, over the years he has tried to produce wines that are the most authentic expression of the territory. A project that starts from afar that of recovering old vineyards, not in a single vineyard but scattered in various microzones in the southernmost part of the Basso Monferrato. We find the vineyards in the municipalities of Cerrina Monferrato, Odalengo Grande, Castelletto Merli and Ponzano, all resting on clay-limestone soils, and capable of giving an absolutely territorial wine. Fabrizio adopts traditional pruning and winemaking methods, with low yields per vine, indigenous yeasts and barriques. The cultivated vines are: Barbera, Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir.
