Domaine Des Bodines

The Domaine des Bodines is located in the Doubs department north of the Jura. It was founded in 2010, when Alexis and his partner Emilie bought 3 hectares of vineyards and a house. Alexis has worked for several years for Pascal Clairet of the Domaine de la Tournelle and Bruno Ciofi of the Domaine de la Pinte and, to both of them she attributes the merit of having taught him the benefits of organic and biodynamic work in the vineyard, as well as how to work well and naturally in the cellar. . They immediately converted to organic, starting to work the soil and to treat only with copper and sulfur and some biodynamic preparations and, in 2001, they came out with their 8000 bottles. Today they own 4 hectares; three hectares in Arbois and one hectare of Savagnin in Pupillin bought by their friend Catherine Hannoun of the Domaine de La Loue. In the cellar the wines ferment in steel tanks, sometimes with carbonic maceration hazards of 6 or 7 months, and refine in used foudres. Emilie and Alexis' wines are firmly natural in style with little or no added SO2, Reds are easy to drink with an emphasis on fruit, made to be "glou glou, while whites show great minerality.
