Santa Lusa - Ancarani

Santa Lusa is a dry interpretation of the Albana di Romagna grape variety. The grapes come from the hilly vineyards of Oriolo dei Fichi, rooted in a Franco-clay subsoil. The harvest takes place in several passages, in the third and fourth decade of September, in order to have perfectly ripe berries. In the cellar fermentation takes place spontaneously with maceration on the skins for 4 days. Aging for 4 months on the fine lees, decanting for 7 months in cement vats to clarify the wine. Rest in bottle for 6 months before being put on the market. No filtration. The Albana Santa Lusa is golden yellow in color. The nose is intense with flavors of fruit such as yellow peach, apricots, honey and mineral notes. In the mouth it is oily, enveloping, warm, with light tannins and a long finish. Service

We recommend tasting it at a temperature of 8/10 ° in tulip goblets. Wine to drink at once but with a good aging potential.

Pairing

The Santa Lusa is great with starters, fish dishes, to try with a sea carbonara.

Cellar: Ancarani

Ancarani is a small farm located on the Faentine hills, near the fortress of Oriolo, a fortified historical site dating back to 1457, run by Claudio Ancarani, along with the energetic Rita Babini. Claudio is a true vintner who has inherited the passion for wine from his grandfather who cultivated these lands in the 1960s. The farm includes 14 hectares of vines that are found on sandy and rich fossils where the Albana of Romagna is cultivated, and Of red clay on which grows the Sangiovese, the Centesimino, the Trebbiano and the Famous. The philosophy of the company is absolutely respectful of the environment; In vineyard only copper and zinc treatments are used, in the cellar the sulfur is minimized, macerations are long to transfer all the grape components to the wine. The wines of Ancarani are typical of the territory, and are absolutely craftsmanship
