Winery: I Cacciagalli
I Cacciagalli is a young reality of the Alto Casertano born from the will of the spouses Diana Iannaccone, agronomist, and Marco Basco, a profound connoisseur of the wine world, to produce wines that were a mirror of the territory. The company is located at the foot of the Roccamonfina volcano, immersed in a landscape dominated by hazel groves, chestnut and olive trees. The vineyards cover an area of 9 hectares divided into various parcels located in the localities of Cacciagalli and Aorivola. The soils are of volcanic origin and Daina and Marco cultivate only the native vines of the area: Aglianico, Piediorosso, Pallagrello Nero, Falanghina and Fiano. The spouses have a profound respect for nature and cultivate their vineyards in a biodynamic way, avoiding any chemical substance and minimizing the use of copper and zinc. In the cellar the fermentations are spontaneous and the refinements take place almost all in terracotta amphora with maceration on the peels more or less long, no clarification or filtration. The resulting wines are fresh, mineral and with a great personality.
