Cornalin 2016 - La Source
The Cornalin by La Sorce is a red wine obtained from the homonymous native vine whose grapes come from the Saint-Pierre vineyard located on soils of moraine-sandy origin. The grapes after destemming are fermented in steel tanks with a maceration of about 8-10 days. After racking the Cornalin ages in the same tanks and 6 months in the bottle before being put on the market. A wine that on the nose gives intense and delicate aromas of red fruit with light spicy notes. On the palate it is dry, fresh, with a finish of small red berries that make it pleasant and ready to drink.

Service
It is advisable to taste Cornalin at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip goblets. Daily wine but left a few years in the cellar can give you great emotions.

La Source is a young and small company located in Bussan Dessous, Saint-Pierre, a small village in the center of the Aosta Valley, characterized by the castle overlooking the plain dug by Dora Baltea. Born in 2003 by the initiative of some young vintners, today the company is owned by the Celi-Cuc family but above all by Stefano Celi is the soul. Stefano, a descendant of a family of vineyards, has been working in various wineries since 2005, taking over the reins of La Source. Stefano cares about 6.5 hectares of vineyards planted with some international vines such as Syrah, Gamay and Müller Thurgau, but above all with the native Petit Rouge, Premetta, Vien de Nus, Fumin and Cornalin. The vineyards are located in the best wine-growing areas of the valleys in the towns of Quart, Aosta, Sarre, Saint-Pierre, Aymavilles and Villeneuve and enjoy excellent sun exposure, which allows you to obtain the best quality products. Winemaking is carried out in the new cellar with modern technology but with an eye to tradition in order to obtain wines that are always the mirror of the area of origin.
