Petite Arvine - La Source

Petite Arvine La Source The Petite Arvine is an autochthonous white grape variety from the Aosta Valley. The grapes used come from the vineyards called Saint-Pierre and Aymavilles that rise on sandy soils. Harvesting is manual and takes place in the first decade of October. The grapes, which have come to the cellar, are dirty and pressed hard. Fermented in steel containers, and refined on fine lees for a few months before being filtered and bottled. The Petite Arvine is pale yellow with greenish reflections. The nose emanates fruity and floral notes with exotic notes. On the palate it is discovered intense, fresh, persistent and elegant with a good minerality. A white wine that does not fear time, but rather improves with the passing of days.

Service

It is advisable to taste Petite Arvine at a temperature of 8/10 ° in tulip goblets. Daily wine but left a few years in the cellar can give you great emotions.

La Source is a young and small company located in Bussan Dessous, Saint-Pierre, a small village in the center of the Aosta Valley, characterized by the castle overlooking the plain dug by Dora Baltea. Born in 2003 by the initiative of some young vintners, today the company is owned by the Celi-Cuc family but above all by Stefano Celi is the soul. Stefano, a descendant of a family of vineyards, has been working in various wineries since 2005, taking over the reins of La Source. Stefano cares about 6.5 hectares of vineyards planted with some international vines such as Syrah, Gamay and Müller Thurgau, but above all with the native Petit Rouge, Premetta, Vien de Nus, Fumin and Cornalin. The vineyards are located in the best wine-growing areas of the valleys in the towns of Quart, Aosta, Sarre, Saint-Pierre, Aymavilles and Villeneuve and enjoy excellent sun exposure, which allows you to obtain the best quality products. Winemaking is carried out in the new cellar with modern technology but with an eye to tradition in order to obtain wines that are always the mirror of the area of origin.
