Service
We taste it at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip goblets. Wine to be drunk immediately but left in the cellar for a few years can give great emotions.
Pairing
All-meal wine that is well suited to pasta dishes, seconds of meat, to be tried with calf chops with gravy.
Cellar: Calafata
A young cooperative located on the Lucchesi hills, named after the chiseled masters who with the wise use of the rope and pitch made waterproof to the sea and secure the boats in storms. Calafata is an idea of people able to combine the quality of the products and the rigor required by the earth. Born in 2011 by the meeting of Mauro Montanaro, Marco Bechini, Maik Tintori and Lorenzo Citti, it was enriched by joining other workers from different sectors: from tourism, to communication, to alternative economy circuits, where everyone contributes with their own Time and expertise to the cooperative idea to make it more effective, plural and more beautiful in every detail. The bred vines are Vermentino, Malvasia, Trebbiano and Moscato for the Whites and Chilieglio, Aleatico, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah for the Reds. In addition to wine, oil, honey and vegetables are produced.
