Winery: Maison Des Ardoisieres
Among the most fascinating producers of French natural wines, Domaine des Ardoisières is a true symbol of heroic viticulture in the French Alps. Its history began in 1997 in Cevins, in the heart of Savoy, thanks to an ambitious project to reclaim the abandoned terraced vineyards overlooking the valley. The initiative was spearheaded by Denis Perroux, then mayor of the village, with the aim of countering depopulation in the area and preserving a unique viticultural heritage. To realize this dream, he enlisted the help of renowned biodynamic winemaker Michel Grisard and agronomist Brice Omont, who would become the face and soul of Domaine des Ardoisières. Today, the winery cultivates approximately 16 hectares of vineyards located between Albertville and Moûtiers, on spectacular slopes reaching a gradient of up to 70%. The soils, characterized by mineral-rich micaceous schist, offer ideal conditions for the production of wines of extraordinary complexity and personality. The vineyards are home to a precious heritage of native Savoy grape varieties, including Altesse, Jacquère, Mondeuse Blanche, and Persan, alongside local selections of Roussanne, Chardonnay, Malvoisie, and Gamay. Biodynamic management and absolute respect for the natural balance allow every nuance of the Alpine terroir to be enhanced. The wines of Domaine des Ardoisières are internationally recognized for their elegance, freshness, and profound territorial identity. Iconic bottles that express the strength of the mountains, the richness of the soil, and the pioneering vision of Brice Omont, today considered one of the most important interpreters of French natural wine. Discover the selection of Domaine des Ardoisières wines and be captivated by unique labels, authentic expressions of Savoy and great mountain viticulture.
