Montesecondo is located in the historical area of Chianti Classico, precisely in Cerbaia in Val di Pesa. Founded in 1999 by Silvio and Catalina Messan today it extends over an area of 20 hectares at 150 meters above sea level. The main purpose of Silvio Messana is to enhance the typicality of its territory, cultivating it in respect of vineyards and the land. This need has found an answer in biodynamic agriculture. The conversion took several years and is now complete, while the work of understanding the territory and the vineyard is a continuous process. The cultivated vineyards are the classic Sangiovese to produce a particularly interesting Chianti Classico and the Tin, one of the top wines of the company, and the Cabernet Sauvignon with which the Toad is obtained, a wine with an aging potential of 20 years.
