Ploussard - Domaine de la Renardière

The Poulsard also called Ploussard is a native vine of the Jura. The grapes come from a 28-year-old vineyard placed on calcareous clay soils with a good presence of Jurassic marls. The vinification is a semi-carbonate with maceration on the skins for 5 days in a saturated atmosphere of Co2. Then the grapes are crushed with subsequent maceration for another 5 days. Refine in large 20hl barrels. The Ploussard is ruby red. The nose releases aromas of red fruit with floral and vinous notes. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and pleasant to drink.

We recommend to taste the ploussard at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately to drink immediately but will express its best in a few years. It is advisable to keep it in a horizontal position in a cool, damp and dark cellar.
