Winery: Bodegas Cueva
Bodegas Cueva is a small artisan reality located in the beautiful village of La Portera, a few kilometers from Valencia. In the cellar we find Mariano Taberner who, thanks to his 15 years of experience, mixes his oenological knowledge with his great creative ability to obtain natural wines of excellent quality. His goal is to obtain a small production of wines with personality, capable of making us experience a unique and incomparable sensation. Its vineyards, made up of centuries-old vines, are largely planted with local varieties such as Bobal, Garnacha, Macabeu and Tardana The vinification cellar, which dates back to the 18th century, still uses only traditional and artisanal methods for the vinification of the wines, which takes place without the use of selected yeasts, without filtration or artificial treatments. Today the average production is around 20,000 bottles.
