Champagne Les Vignes de Mon Oncle - Vincent Laval
The idea of combining the two vintages into a single blend was born from the tasting of the 2021 and 2022 vintages. Thus, in February 2023, the three classic Champagne grape varieties were blended, all aged in barrels, to create 11,200 bottles of Les Vignes de Mon Oncle (My Uncle's Vines). The first disgorgings took place between March and April 2025, without any dosage: a Brut Nature that expresses the Laval character in its purity. Part of this blend was also preserved to be blended with the 2023 and 2024 vintages, in a project of continuity that renews the family style and heritage across the vintages. In the glass, it appears a luminous golden yellow, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with notes of ripe citrus, white flowers, and hints of yellow fruit, supported by nuances of dried herbs and a light toastiness derived from the maturation in barrels. On the palate, it is taut and upright, with a saline attack and a crisp mineral texture; the citrus freshness complements a creamy, enveloping sensation. The long, crisp finish leaves a savory trail that invites re-tasting. A simply exceptional Champagne.

Cellar: Vincent Laval
Since 1694, the Laval family has lived and worked in the heart of Champagne, passing down agricultural and artisanal knowledge through seven generations. Today, Vincent Laval, heir to Georges, a pioneer of organic viticulture in the region since 1971, passionately manages the family estate, supported by Dylan, Raphaël, Ludovic, and Mathilde. With just 4 hectares of vineyards and approximately 30,000 bottles produced annually, Laval is an example of continuity and conviction, having rejected the use of synthetic chemicals in the vineyard for over fifty years. The family's work is distinguished by meticulous manual work and extreme attention to biodiversity and the life of the soil. Planted between 1955 and 2002 and managed for decades by Uncle François, the vineyards represent a living heritage that connects generations and strengthens the brand's identity. The Cumières terroir, with its south-facing amphitheater-like slopes, chalky soils, and warm microclimate, enhances the family's work, producing Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, some from vines over a century old, capable of producing wines of great depth and energy. The winemaking philosophy emphasizes authenticity and purity: spontaneous fermentation in wood, no filtration or fining, lengthy secondary fermentation, manual riddling, and traditional disgorgement, for a result that faithfully expresses the terroir and the soul of the Laval family. ds.
