Don Fà - Azienda Agricola Fabio De Beaumont

Don Fà is a fortified red wine that comes from an ancient recipe by the Baroni de Beaumont. For this product are used only red grapes and sour cherry leaves. The red grapes are harvested in the autumn months of October and November, and their vinification is spontaneous in steel tanks. The Don Fà rests until the months of June and July in which the selected collection of the sour cherry leaves is carried out and then macerated in the wine, giving it its natural aroma. After the maceration, small quantities of alcohol and sugar are added. Addition and mixing take place cold so as not to alter the taste and characteristics of Don Fà. Don Fà has a deep ruby red color. On the nose there are evident evident hints of black cherry, spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and warm, and elegant with a long persistence.

The don Fà is excellent tasted after meals, accompanied by a dessert or chocolate. Ideal for preparing aperitifs, to be enjoyed at any time of the day.

Winery: Azienda Agricola Fabio De Beaumont

The Fabio De Beaumont Agricultural Company is located in Castelvetere sul Calore, in the province of Avellino. Historical documents testify that the De Beaumont family from the 1600s have land for agricultural and productive activities. But only at the end of the seventies of the last century the heirs decided to start vinifying their grapes, and market their wine only in hotels and restaurants in the province of Avellino. Today the company is managed by Fabio de Beaumont, with the help of his grandmother Sandra, his father Francesco and the agronomist Marco Moccia. Throughout its long history, the de Beaumont family has maintained direct management with sometimes courageous choices, but always keeping unchanged respect for the traditions and the territory. Fabio manages naturally his vineyards bred in Aglianico and Barbera. The most important wine is certainly the Don Fa, which comes from the revisiting of an ancient family recipe, dating back to 1500, for the production of a liqueur made of wine naturally flavored with sour cherry leaves to which small amounts of alcohol are added and sugar A wine that tastes natural, captivating and persistent in taste.
