Sauternes - Pascaud Villfranche

Pascaud Villfranche's Sauternes is a wonderful wine obtained from a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle.The grapes, when attacked by the noble mold, are rigorously harvested by hand, an operation that is repeated several times over a season so that only the bunches that have the perfect maturation and development features of the noble pourriture are picked up. The fermentation is spontaneous in steel tanks. Affini for 18 in barriques. Sauternes has a beautiful golden yellow color with elegant and intense scents ranging from dried fruit to cream and vanilla notes to finish with honey aftertaste. In the mouth it is warm, enveloping, pasty, soft, but all is supported by a good acidity and an endless ending.

Cellar: Chateau Pascaud Villefranche

The Chateau Pascaud Villefranche is located in the municipality of Barsac, one of the five municipalities that have the right to the Appellation Sauternes. Crossed by the Le Ciron River that creates the ideal conditions for the development of the noble mold in the Semillon and Sauvigno Blanc berries. The Chateau was born in 1986 with the decision of Fabien to preserve a part of the old family property by the use of fertilizers and pesticides and to obtain the best fruit from nature .Fabien is assisted in this by Brother Thomas and the careful look of ' Old father. The vineyards grow on six hectares cultivated at Semillon, Sauvingnon Blanc and some Muscadelle plants, for an annual production of about 5000 bottles. Fabiene, a man of few but very concrete offspring, states that: "Its sautèrnes is the fruit that the land in itself gives each year. Wine as a sharing of moments of pleasure ".
