Moscato Canelli - Vittorio Bera e Figli

Excellent sweet wine obtained from the Moscato Bianco vine. The grapes come from vineyards with an average age of 20 years that grow on marly-calcareous soils with siliceous sandstones mixed with marine sedimentation marl. After the manulae harvest of the grapes, the fermentation is spontaneous in autoclave. Does not undergo clarification or filtration before bottling. Moscato Bianco di Bera is straw-yellow in color. The nose recognizes elegant aromas of white pulp fruit, white flowers, delicate citrus scents with mineral hints. In the mouth it is fine and delicate, it shows a nice sweet component contrasted with an excellent acidity and savory texture.

Service

We taste Carsia at a temperature of 6/8 ° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.

Pairing

It goes perfectly with desserts, fresh cheeses, to try with the classic grandma's cake.

Winery: Vittorio Bera e Figli

The Bera family's wine cellar is located in the hills of Astesana in Canelli, a town known above all for the production of moscato wine. Its history can be traced back to 1758 when the ancestor Giovan Battista bought some vineyards belonging to the Sovereign Order of Malta near Canelli. Vineyards located on lean hills. In 1964 the Bera family decided to convert to the organic 12 hectares of property, a choice that will lead them to cultivate the vineyards in full respect of nature, favoring natural treatments, without the use of chemical fertilizers. Same choice also in the cellar where selected yeasts, enological enzymes and chemical-physical treatments of various nature are prohibited. Their flagship wine remains Moscato d'Asti, but we also point out an excellent Dolcetto del Monferrato, a Barbera d'Asti and a white wine called "Arcese" which is the result of an assembly of local grapes of the area.
