Zweigelt - Radoar

The Zweigelt of Radoar is a fruity and fresh red wine that comes from grapes of the homonymous vine. The vine was developed in 1922 at the Federal Institute for viticulture in Klosterneuburg in Austria by Professor Fritz Zweiglet crossing the St. Laurent with the Blaufränkisch. The grapes come from a small south-facing vineyard that grows on slate, granite and quartz soils. After destemming, the grapes are fermented spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. Svinato continues its refinement in the same tanks. The Zweigelt is ruby red in color. The nose is characterized by characteristic hints of red fruit. The palate is dry, fresh, light and mineral with a fruity finish.

Service

It is recommended to taste the Zweigelt at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip goblets. Daily wine but left a few years in the cellar can give you great emotions.

Pairing

Great with homemade cold meats, ideal with first tasty dishes, to be tried with a roast veal with potatoes.

The estate Radoar on the "Trail of the Eisack Valley chestnut" was mentioned for the first time in documents dating back to 1300. The name of Radoar estate, now in possession of Blasbichler family, is rhaeto-romance and defines the circle of life. For us winemakers means respecting the environment and nature; since 1997 we practice organic cultivation, paying attention to sustainability and biodiversity. Our organic products ranging from wines to spirits, up to fruit juices. The vines, some more than forty years old, are located at a height of 900 meters s.l.m. Part of wines aged in large oak barrels for nine months before bottling. Our grappas and fruit brandies are made from organic fruit - variety of regional pears, plums, quinces and chestnuts - using a double distillazioneI process our vineyards grow up to an altitude of 900 m and reached a `over the age of 40 years vita.Sono of the soil schist and high solar radiation that enable viticulture at this altitude. The biodynamic production allows the grapes to reach optimal physiological maturity. The use of biodynamic preparations, various teas, accurate agricultural work and diligent planting, make it, in harmony with the lunar phases, special grape. In the cellar we work carefully using natural enzymes. The wines are obtained, they are left to rest for nine months in oak barrels and steel before being bottled in the summer. It's through organic farming and the environment, the soil and climate are reflected in our wines. The synergy between nature and biodynamic agriculture is an art that reaches its fullest expression of value in our lifestyle.
