Service

We recommend serving it at a temperature of 16/18 ° in tulip glasses. Wonderful evolution in the bottle with an ideal consumption in a few years if well preserved in a cool, damp and dark cellar in a horizontal position.

Pairing

It should be paired with roasted red meats, game, aged cheeses, spicy foods, very tasty dishes in general.

The cellar: De Bartoli Etna Tenuta Solisciaro

From the westernmost tip of Sicily, Marsala, passing through the island halfway between the African and European continents, Pantelleria, the De Bartoli family arrives on the highest volcano in Europe, Etna. A triangle within a triangle to close the circle of a life dedicated to viticulture and the production of wines with a strong territorial connotation. In the Rampante district, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia and more precisely between the hamlets of Solicchiata and Passopisciaro, on the northern side of the Etna volcano, DBE comes to life. Its 2.30 hectares are located at an altitude ranging from 743 to 769 meters above sea level. Just over one hectare is dedicated to the cultivation of Nerello Mascalese. Viticulture on the northern side is characterized by a more humid climate and ancient volcanic soils. Nerello Mascalese is the king of this side. The black grape variety, originating from the Mascali plain from which it takes its name, gives life to elegant and mineral red wines which contain within them all the facets of the territory where they are produced.
