Les Georgiques Rouge by Domaine Du Val De Bargis is an intense red wine made from Pinot Noir. Structure and good drinkability, together with a light final tannin, allow it to be forgotten in the cellar for a couple of years before being opened. Vinification with spontaneous fermentation and three-week maceration with two daily pumpovers. Aging in used 228L and 500L barrels.

Service

We taste it 16/18° C. It is recommended to serve it in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.

Pairings

The Domaine is located in Chasnay, a small French municipality located in the Côtes de la Charité, in the Loire. The Domaine was born in 2019 from the collaboration between Marielle Michot, a very talented Burgundian producer and Pierre Charlot, Champagne producer in the Marne valley. Today they manage 3 hectares of vineyards planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which are located on clay-limestone soils cultivated biodynamically, where all operations are carried out entirely by hand, and are the result of their commitment to sustainable, ecological and responsible viticulture . In the cellar Marielle and Pierre do not follow pre-packaged recipes. Every cuvée, every terroir, every grape variety, every blend and every vintage has its own history. What unites the approach of each wine is the refusal of corrective oenology. Indigenous yeasts for fermentations, very limited use of sulphites, and no forced clarification. Thus is born a kaleidoscope of bottles, colors and interpretations, united by a great expressive spontaneity and a rare gustatory energy. Prosit!
