Service
We recommend tasting the Majas Rouge at a 16/18 ° temperature in tulip goblets. Great to drink at once but if left in the cellar a few years can give you great emotions.
Pairing
The Majas Rouge combines with first and second meat dishes, to be served with chicken with vegetables.
Cellar: Domaine de Majas
Domaine Majas is located in Caudiès de Fenouillèdes, a small village in the beautiful Roussillon region. Founded in 1992 by Alain Carrere and his wife Agnès, who in the early years of their activity produced low-cost wines for a well-known supermarket chain. The crisis, pricing and lack of earnings prompted the two spouses to seek help from Tom Lubbe of Domaine Matassa. Tom would gladly help them as long as the whole property was converted into organic. Today Domain Majas is made up of 30 hectares of vines, with some of the centenarian vineyards, where we find native vines such as Carignano, Grenache and Macabeu and international such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonany and Rolle. Alain in the cellar performs only spontaneous vinification with indigenous yeasts, uses very little sulfur dioxide and refines its wines in steel tanks and barriques. Territorial, fresh and mineral wines
