The family of Luigi Tecce for generations produced wine in Trinità district in Paternopoli, a village in the province of Avellino. Luigi chooses not to follow the family's footsteps, but dedicates himself to the jockey career until 1997 when, due to the sudden death of his father, he is forced to leave his job and take over the family farm that then owned a hectare of vineyard . Luigi Tecce has the clear ideas on how to produce his wine, not standard and pre-packaged wines, but a wine that could reflect its territory. Buy other vineyards of vineyards located in the very heart of DOCG Taurasi and cultivate its vineyards, some dating back to the 30's, with natural methods. During the harvest harvest the bunches one by one, as they have reached perfect ripeness. Vinification only accepts the advice of friend Vincenzo Mercurio, and its wines are produced through spontaneous fermentations with only native yeasts, long macerations on the skins and refinements in barriques. The wines of Luigi Tecce, obtained from the Aglianico vine, are the "Satyricon" and the Taurasi "Poliphemo". Wines are powerful, fine, elegant, mirror of the territory. A curiosity, Luigi Tecce devotes 2001's Taurasi to Varenne, the famous racing horse that won numerous trophies that year.
