Winery: Marto Wines
Marto Wines is located in Flonheim, a small village in the Rheinhessen region of Germany. The company is led by Martin Worner, who after studying oenology in Germany, worked with Tom Lubbe (from Matassa) and Steph and Eddie at Gut Oggau in Burgenland. In 2014 he decided to return to the country where he was born and started taking care of the family vineyards. Its vineyards, located on sandy soils, are cultivated according to the dictates of organic agriculture and, among the rows, we can find plants of Würzer, Faber, Bacchus, Müllerthurgau, Scheurebe, Riesling, Silvaner. In the cellar, all fermentations take place in whole bunches and the aging in wooden barrels. The wines do not undergo any clarification or filtration and no sulfur is added. The first year of bottling was 2016 with the wine called Weiss, a white blended from 7 different varieties from old vines. All Martin's wines are a real treat
