"Saltamartì" by Els Vinyerons is a juicy red wine, dominated by plum, currant and raspberry tones. Obtained from Tempranillo grapes of the 2022 vintage which are macerated on the skins for 3 days before aging in steel tanks. In the next phase, it is combined with part of the 2021 vintage which ages for 12 months in old 300 L French oak barrels. Finally, the wine was left to rest in tanks for a few weeks before bottling. The result is a rich and generous red wine, which well expresses the terroir of origin and the strong bond with tradition.

Service
We taste it at a temperature around 16/18°C. Wine to be drunk immediately but if left in the cellar for a few years it can give great satisfaction.
Pairing
Ideal to accompany first courses based on tomato sauces, meat second courses, to try with cabbage rolls with sausage.
Winery: Els Vinyerons
Els Vinyerons is a Spanish winery located in Sant Martí Sarroca, near Vilafranca del Penèdes. It was born, on the initiative of Amós Bañeres and Alex Ruiz Masach, as a shared shop project to enhance the production of the region from which they come. The approach is clear from the beginning: certified organic agriculture, in a natural environment that is almost free from pathological pressures, aided by the particular terroir of permeable granite sands (sauló). Some plots can thus boast of not receiving any phytosanitary treatment of any kind. For others, copper, sulfur and a strictly organic protocol. The choice of vineyards, mainly planted in xare-lo, was carried out with great attention, selecting above all old vineyards historically located in the most suitable areas and which, thanks to a profound interaction with the territory, are able to enhance its character. Today the estate has several parcels located in the areas of Vilafranca del Penedés, La Munia, Font Rubí, Pacs and Sant Martí Sarroca, each with absolutely particular characteristics. The harvest is obviously manual. The alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously, with indigenous yeasts, and the sparkling wine production is entrusted to the ancestral method. No final dosage, to maintain the original expression of the wine intact.
