The Malauva project, although it materialized two years ago with the purchase of an old farm in Umbria, was born about eight years ago. In the summer of 2011, in fact, we bought an old and ramshackle camper with which we left Rome and Turin, our respective hometowns and we started to discover a world and a way of life that we had only sensed had taken hold in Italy . Those years of travel and work, through small agricultural realities, rural projects and small communities, made us fall in love with a lifestyle based on a close link between nature and man. In 2017 we thus bought an old ruin to be restored together with 6 hectares of land consisting of vineyards, olive groves and woods, with the aim of reviving this ancient farm. Our "farm house" is located in the Municipality of Castel Giorgio (TR) on the edge of the Alfna plateau, a splendid volcanic plateau that extends for thousands of hectares at an altitude of about 550 meters above sea level, in a territory bordering Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany. Our project aims to create a small diversified ecosystem, in which vineyards, olive trees, vegetable gardens and animals are all related to each other in order to produce food in a natural and respectful way for nature. An integral part of the project will be the hospitality and catering that will offer those who come an experience in a rural and welcoming context.
