Winery: Le Raisin et l'Ange
Le Raisin et l'Ange is located in the village of Les SAlles near the foot of the Cavenne Ardechois, surrounded by paths, mountains and unusual places to bathe. The nearest town is Aubenas (25 min from here) and then Montélimar in the Rhone valley (40 min). Gilles Azzoni settled here in November 1983, after several experiences in some wineries in France. He rented a farm that included more than 6 hectares of vineyards planted in Syrah, Grenache noir and Merlot. In 1997 Gilles decided to leave the Appellations to move from relatively conventional agriculture to organic agriculture and therefore to natural winemaking, without using SO2 during winemaking. TODAY it is part of the AVN (Association des Vins Naturels), the Natural Winemakers group and together with their son Antonin have started a business of selling grapes from the area, developing completely natural wines.
