Vino Rosso 2023 - Nikolas Juretic
Nikolas Juretic's "Vino Rosso" is a wine of great interest and character, the result of a careful assembly of red grapes and white grape must, which gives the wine unique characteristics. Its taut, long and deep structure make it a complex and satisfying wine, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. The winemaking process involves destemming followed by a 4-5 day maceration in used barriques, and an 11 month refinement in barriques. This care and attention in production translates into a wine that stands out for its elegance, persistence and aromatic complexity, ideal to accompany meat dishes, mature cheeses or simply to be enjoyed in meditation.

"Vino Rosso" - Nikolas Juretic
Nikolas Juretic's "Vino Rosso" is a wine of great interest and character, the result of a careful blend of red grapes and white grape must, which gives the wine unique characteristics. Its taut, long and deep structure make it a complex and satisfying wine, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. The winemaking process involves destemming followed by maceration for 4-5 days in used barriques, which allows limited contact with the skins, preserving freshness and varietal aromas, but enriching the profile with softer and more complex nuances. After maceration, the wine ages for 11 months in barriques, developing structure and depth, before being bottled. After bottling, the wine rests for a further 6 months in the bottle, refining its characteristics and ensuring a balanced product ready to be tasted. This care and attention in production translates into a wine that stands out for its elegance, persistence and aromatic complexity, ideal to accompany meat dishes, mature cheeses or simply to be enjoyed in meditation.
Service
We taste it at a temperature of 16/18° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but does not mind being aged.
Pairings
Excellent red wine to combine with first courses, main courses of meat, to try with a stewed duck.
Cellar: Nikolas Juretic
A recent company in an ancient territory. Ancestral viticultural practices to look to the future. The story of Nikolas Juretic juggles between past and future, in a rigorous, innovative, measured, passionate approach. Nikolas, after having enriched his wealth of experience and knowledge of the world of oenology by traveling the world including the one with the famous Simonit & Sirch-Vine Master Pruners, decides to start his own project. The territory is the hilly one of eastern Friuli, specifically in Cormons, right in the lands where he was born and raised. 1.5 hectares of vineyards that extend on the eastern slope of Monte Quarin, and are rooted in the classic land of Friuli, called Ponca. Among the rows of native vines such as Malvasia, Tocai and Ribolla Gialla. In the cellar, Nikolas takes great care of every detail, crushing done with his feet, spontaneous fermentation, maceration on the skins and aging in wooden barrels, all without adding sulphites. The end result is surprisingly fine and elegant wines, which tell true and beautiful stories, in the name of the highest oenology.
