he Trinchero agricultural company is located in Agliano Terme, in the heart of the Asti area. A historic company in the area, it has reached its fourth generation with Ezio, who currently manages it. Today the vineyards extend over an area of 13 hectares, on soils composed mostly of clay and limestone, with a medium texture. Among the rows we mainly find Barbera, Grignolino, Nebbiolo, Arneis, Malvasia di Candia grapes, as well as the inevitable Freisa. All harvesting operations are carried out manually, and the grapes, taken to the cellar, are left to ferment spontaneously. The vinification and maturation take place in large used wood, and all the wines produced are ready for long aging in the bottle, before and after being put on the market. The Trinchero range includes the reds “Vigna del Noce” and “Terra del Noce”, both based on Barbera, with a complex, soft and spicy character, the Freisa d'Asti DOC “Runchet”, with an agile and pleasant drink, and the “Grigno”, Grignolino d'Asti DOC, fresh and smooth on the palate. The Trinchero winery is the full expression of the Piedmontese territory, of commitment and love for the land.
