Service
We recommend tasting the Gaggiarone at a temperature of 18/20 ° in balloon goblets. Wine to drink immediately but will express the best of itself in a few years. It is recommended to keep it in a horizontal position in a fresh, damp, dark cellar.
Pairing
The Gaggiarone lends itself to being accompanied by first savory dishes, roasted meats, game, to try with a classic chicken to the devil.
Cellar: Annibale Alziati
Annibale Alziati is a real vintner, one of those traditions that have a direct relationship with their vineyards. Annibale built his company at a time, selecting the best parcels of the Oltrepò Pavese and parcel after parcel reached an area of 18 hectares. Annibale Alziati breeds her vineyards as her children, naturally, without chemistry, avoiding any artificial intervention with low yields in order to obtain real, alive, quality grapes. Its vineyards are in the best locations dedicated to viticulture and grow on clayey-calcareous soils at 300m.m. Annibale cultivates Barbera, Rare Grape, Croatina with which it produces its still wines, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with which it gets its sparkling wines. Of course its wine is the Gaggiarone produced with Croatina and Rara Grapes, which come from old vineyards placed on a steep slope on tuff and plaster fields. Annibale Alziati's wines are inspired by tradition, far from stereotypes and absolutely unique.
