J.K.T - Franco Terpin
J.K.T by Terpin is a macerated white wine made from 100% Friulano grapes. The grapes come from vineyards over 60 years of age that rest on Ponka, a typical local soil consisting of marl and marine sediment. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous with only indigenous yeasts and refines in oak barrels. Not filtered before bottling. Golden yellow color. Very complex nose with aromas of dried fruit, honeyed notes and light mineral notes. On the palate it is warm, enveloping, full-bodied and has a good freshness.
Service
We recommend tasting it at a temperature of 12/14 ° in tulip glasses. Wine to drink immediately but if left in the cellar a few years can give great emotions.
Pairing
Great to combine with raw fish dishes, to try with a pasta with baby octopus.
Cellar: Franco Terpin
The Franco Terpin company is located in San Floriano del Collio, Friuli Venezia Giulia, a few steps from the Slovenian border, in the area famous for the production of Orange wine. Franco creates the company, together with his wife, in 1994 and now has about 10 hectares of vines located in a hilly area, part of Italy and part of Slovenia. All the vineyards stand on rich soils of clay and are reared according to organic practices, the cultivated varieties are Ribolla Gialla, Tocai Friulano, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. In the cellar it does not use chemicals, but only indigenous yeasts, barrel refinements and no filtration. Its wines are all macerated for a time ranging from 3 to 8 days, aged for 3 years in wooden barrels and then steel before being sold. Only 20000 bottles produced, of these unique wines, are the soul of the land and decided as the one who produces them

My favourite wine of 2023 so far
Drank it at a friend's and it was love at first sight. Immense fun in a bottle. Immediately ordered more.
