Cellar: Al di là del fiume
Al di là del fiume is a farm that was born in Marzabotto in the Historic Park of Monte Sole, a place of memory of the partisan resistance and a center for spreading a culture of peace. The company is managed by its 2 founders, Danila Mongardi and Gabriele Monti, whose philosophy is based on the strength of the union between people, on the natural energy of the earth, work in harmony with the cosmos and without upsetting the natural rhythms to obtaining the best from grapes, leaving the environment as intact as possible, respecting nature and biodiversity. Today Al di là del fiume extends over 27 hectares, of which only 3 are planted with vineyards, the others are populated by ancient varieties of fruit trees, rare cereals, small gardens and medicinal herbs. autochthonous: Barbera, Albana, pignoletto, montuni and Alionza. The focus in the countryside is to get ripe, healthy and vital grapes. In the cellar they do not use yeasts or sulfur in winemaking, they do not use any type of preservative or additive during processing. From this energy their biodynamic wines are born, vinified in terracotta or steel amphorae, which belong to their valleys and which have been restored after they had been processed and cared for by their grandparents. The labels were donated by young Bolognese artists and have become author labels, the names of the wines are in Bolognese dialect because only by starting from their roots will we find the strength to fly away.
