Winery: Jo Landron
Domaine Landron was founded in 1945 by Pierre and Julien Landron. The two bought 3 hectares of vineyards in one of the most vocal areas for the cultivation of the Melon de Bourgogne, the vine that originated in Muscadet. Over the years, the Domaine remains in the hands of only Pierre, who helped with his son Joseph, acquires several hectares of land and begins to export the wine produced. Today, Domaine Landron extends over 36 hectares divided into two estates: the Domaine de la Louvetrie (26 hectares) and the Château de la Carizière (10 hectares) are located on the Sèvre bassopian in the heart of the Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine , the most reputed for this vine. Joseph said "Jo" cultivates its vineyards in accordance with the nature according to the principles of organic agriculture in order to enhance the impression of the terroir and to guarantee the maximum variety of varieties. For Jo the Muscadet must be the faithful expression of the terroir, which is reflected in the aroma of minerals; the richness and originality of our vineyard reside in biological and microclimatic diversity. Only the work of the earth and the respect of the vineyard with a biological crop allow to express the full personality of the territory. My passion feeds on these differences. " In addition to Muscadet, Jo also produces Mèthode Traditionnelle Atmosphères, a classic method based on Folle Blanche and Pinot Noir.
