Cellar: Sergio Arcuri
The company of Sergio Arcuri is located in Cirò Marina, a town in the province of Crotone, overlooking the Ionian Sea. The history of the company is ancient, it was in fact Sergio's great-grandfather, Peppe, who in 1880 began this tradition producing and selling bulky wine. After a handshake, in 1973, the company returned to Sergio's father Giuseppe, who planted new vineyards, puts out the cellar and continues to sell a delicious wine. But the real turning point occurs in 2009 when Sergio, a person with a strong sensitivity, understands the potential of his wines and begins to bottling them. Its vineyards, all grown under biological conditions, are found in various plots on different soils; In the Piciara district, where we find vineyards of 1948, the soil is clayey, in Piana di Franze the soil is clayey and red sand, to Marinetto is calcareous-clayey, and finally, to Sandy, sandy defense. In the cellar Sergio, for vinification, it follows the old family tradition; With spontaneous fermentations and refinements in concrete tanks. Two wines produced, "Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Aris" and "Marinetto", a rose wine. Recently, there has been a Red Circus called "Old Vineyards" produced with grapes from the vineyards of 1948
