Winery: Bruno Duchêne
Bruno Duchêne is originally from Loir-et-Cher, a French department in the central region of the Loire. In 2002, he bought small plots of vineyards on the steep slopes that overlook the town of Banyuls, 300 miles above sea level. In this difficult environment, where the discomfort of the work is anything but an abstract notion, Bruno does a hard work to practice organic farming most of his vineyard, where we find old vineyards that give grenache noir, gris and grapes. blanc, macabeu, malvasia and moscato. In the winery, Bruno tries to intervene as little as possible with spontaneous vinification and the minimum use of sulfur, so as to give life to wines that represent the territory. Among the numerous wines; the Suzette, a referment based on grenache and fermentino, the Mére Lach'nous, a rosé made from grapes of carignan and mouvèdre, the Luna Rouge produced with the three types of grenache and carignan, Vall Pompo based on grenache blanc. The wines of Bruno Duchêne are sunny and gourmet that radiate good humor and spontaneity.
