The winery: Azienda agricola Pialli Alessandro

After more than 15 years of experiences and collaborations in the world of wine, I realized the dream oAzienda Agricola Pialli traces its roots back to the winemaking traditions of the 1960s. Both grandfathers—Silvio Tognetti, known as "Cìo Bacaro," and Gregorio Pialli—cultivated small vineyards, personally vinifying and selling their own wine. The varieties grown at the time were primarily Tocai Rosso and Garganega, authentic expressions of the local terroir. Although both men ceased operations in 1999, their passion lived on. In 2001, the next generation took up the legacy, merging the two properties into a single winery and choosing to focus exclusively on producing Tocai Rosso di Barbarano. From the very beginning, all vineyards were converted to organic farming methods, with full respect for the environment and biodiversity. Today, Azienda Agricola Pialli cultivates 4.5 hectares of vineyards and produces between 13,000 and 20,000 bottles annually—depending on the harvest—while maintaining a strong connection to tradition and an unwavering commitment to quality.
