Goustan Brut Nature - Thomas De Marne

The Goustan Brut Nature is an excellent Blanc de Noir, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Vinification takes place in wooden cuves, while aging on the lees lasts 24 months. The nose is seductive with hints of peach, lychee, wild strawberries, and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it is taut and lively, long, and very dry. Salty. It enters subtly and then begins to push forward, with a finish that plays entirely on minerality. Juicy and very persistent.

Serving

Suggestion Serve it at 8-10°C  in a balloon flute. Goustan Brut Nature Champagne is best enjoyed immediately, but will express its best in a few years. Store it horizontally in a cool, humid, and dark cellar.

Pairing

Suggestions Try it with appetizers, delicate fish dishes, or try it with prosciutto and melon.

The Winery: Thomas De Marne

Big changes are underway at De Marne-Frison. Having returned to the winery in 2018, after two years working side by side with his mother, Valerie Frison, Thomas De Marne took over the reins of the family business in 2020, having acquired the right skills to manage the vineyards and winemaking. Gradually, the Val Frison Champagnes will be released as Thomas De Marne, and the names of the cuvées will remain unchanged, except for Portlandia, which has become Holistique.
