Service
We recommend tasting at a temperature of 8/10 ° in tulip glasses. Wine to drink immediately but will express its best in a few years. In the meantime, it is advisable to keep it in a horizontal position in a cool, damp and dark cellar.
Pairing
It goes perfectly with first courses with vegetables, second courses of fish, to try with a perch gratin.
Winery: Meggiolaro Vini
Meggiolaro Vini is located in Brenton, a small town between Soave and Gambellara and between the provinces of Verona and Vicenza. The first harvest for Cristiana and her husband Riccardo Roncolato's company was 2008, born from the idea of working together in the world of wine, which guided their choices from the first meeting. Their vineyards, surrounded by woods, are located on volcanic soil and overlook Lake Garda and, to the north, the Lessini Mountains. Their oldest vineyard, 450 meters above sea level, is over sixty years old. Cristiana and Riccardo, starting from conventional management in the vineyards and cellar, in 2012 after meeting Alessandro Filippi turned to natural management. They built the cellar under the house, where there was a basement. They directly follow all stages of production. The labels of Meggiolaro Vini tell the story of the territory. They are in fact based on Durella and Garganega: the two native vines lend themselves to numerous types of winemaking, and thus six labels were created that range from dry white to refermented in the bottle, from sparkling wine to passito. In 2021 there was also the first harvest of a new Pinot Noir vineyard: the first label, a refermented in the bottle dedicated to one of Cristiana and Riccardo's daughters.
